6. Trips and Special Events

Hello Yellow!

In October, we supported the charity YoungMinds by wearing yellow and raising money.

NSPCC Number Day

We took part in NSPCC fundraiser day 'Dress up for Digits!'

We celebrated World Book day by dressing up as book characters.

We celebrated Red Nose Day by dressing in mismatched outfits!

Year 2 Trip to Valence House

Year 2 visited Valence House. Valence House looked beautiful! It is the only surviving manor house in Dagenham. It is 400 years old. It is still partially surrounded by a moat. We visited galleries that told the story of Barking and Dagenham, transport and its people throughout the ages.

We made boats and sailed them.We learned that boats are female and they usually have girl's names or names that relate to nature or speed. Here are some of our boats (named Fi Fi, Chihuahua and Ronaldo).
