Wednesday

We still had snow on the ground here so the area looks beautiful.

We went canoeing on the canal today and learnt lots of skills to control the canoe. We found it was also a great activity to develop our skills in working together. In the evening, we competed in an orienteering competition within the house. This was trickier than we thought it would be. We also did some indoor archery and attempted to hit the targets.

Quotes

Alfie

I really enjoy Trewern because I've got lots of activities to do each day and I love it. My favourite activity is the orienteering out in the dark because I'm a night person and I don't really get to stay up that late.

Chikamso

It was the first time I was away from home and I had to be independent. I've enjoyed all the activities because they were hard and I had to push through my limits.

Noah

When I hit the middle of the target in archery I was really happy that I gained points. It was really rewarding after we climbed the mountain.

Aila

I liked hiking up the hill and seeing the castle when it was snowing. I also really enjoyed it afterwards when we were able to have a snowball fight and build snowmen.

Emily

I liked the canoeing when I was rowing because I went really fast. It was a bit hard but when you get faster it gets easier.

Rachel

It is really fun because I get to socialise with more people and I also got to have a lot of snowball fights and experience lots of new things.

Skylar

I like Trewern. I liked the mountain walking. I liked the canoeing because I liked being on a boat and standing on it. It was hard because it kept shaking. I enjoyed being with my friends.

Vincent

I'm very proud of myself for climbing a tall mountain in the snow and getting up again after I kept falling down.

Mohammed

We scaled the treacherous mountain and on the top was Mousecastle. It was strategically placed for defence in the Norman era.

Marley

It is very good, you are able to socialise with your friends instead of being inside your house every day. It is very adventurous and I would highly recommend coming here again.

Domi

I enjoyed the indoor orienteering because there were very good places for them to be. It was very challenging and good fun at the same time. Also, it has been very fun in the lounge.

Lisa

I just like it here! The people are friendly and so positive. We can have fun without using electronics. We can explore the world outside the electronics.

Hizma

I love it a lot, I can stay away from electronics for a long time. I love the weather because I haven't experienced this much snow in a long time.
