Here We Are
We have been using the book 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers to kickstart our learning in year 3!
We have been away from school for quite a while, but we are definitely back in the swing of it now!
We spent a long time discussing what we love in our life and whether the things we love have changed over the lockdown period...

We used this page to reflect on our important relationships. We wrote postcards to people we missed during lockdown and to people we wanted to say thank you to for helping us during lockdown.
We used the following page as a stimulus for how to look after the world around us and the beauty that we can see every single day...

This video helped us notice that nature is beautiful and no matter what else is going on in the world, all of these things still exist and can help lift our mood.
We then wrote poems about our world and how lovely it is!

Together we completed a fish draw along video and learnt how to draw a fish including fins and scales. What do you think of our drawings?
We then created our own fish that needed their own food, might live somewhere unusual and would have some different features to other fish!
We used this page in the book to realise how nature can be amazing for some mindfulness activities and appreciating it can help us relax and develop good wellbeing.

What else is important right now?
We spent a long time discussing this page, who people were, what their jobs were, what uniforms they wear that tell us about their job and what we can tell from looking at a person.
Have a look through some of our aspirations for us for the future...
