Banji Alexander

We heard about an author called Banji Alexander who wanted schools to write to him and invite him to visit their schools...so of course we did this!

Banji then came to visit us and we completed some writing and reading workshops based on his book 'Lockdown Looms'.  Many of us were inspired by his hats and his footwear so rose to the challenge of pre ordering books to qualify for dressing up! (See our photos!) He is also a musician and appeared on Britain's Got Talent with a song he had written himself! We performed his song 'New King' with him (which we had learnt prior to his visit).

Lots of children bought his book which he then signed and dedicated to each child individually.

We would like to thank Banji for coming and look forward to working with him again!
