Brittons Academy Primary Maths Challenge
We are incredibly proud of our four Mathletes who represented the school at the Primary Maths Challenge at The Brittons Academy. Competing against nine schools, the team placed a fantastic 5th overall, finishing very close to 3rd and 4th place.
Throughout the day, Ivy‑May, Michal, Adam and Haris enjoyed every second and showed brilliant mathematical thinking, outstanding focus, and a wonderful ability to work together as a team. They tackled a full day of reasoning, logic and word problems with determination and enthusiasm.
Well done to all four – a superb achievement!
This week, the children have taken part in a wonderful range of whole‑school workshops and activities. During the Ganda Boys workshop, pupils learned about African culture and were inspired by the group’s powerful message, “You are, therefore I am.” The children loved listening to the music and even joined in with a traditional African dance.
They also took part in an NSPCC workshop, where they learned important strategies for keeping themselves safe.
To top it all off, our pupils competed in an NSPCC TT Rockstars inter‑schools competition—and we are incredibly proud to share that, out of thousands of participating schools, we finished within the top one hundred!
It has been an exciting and enriching week for everyone.
