RF

M E R R Y   C H R I S T M A S ! ! !

We have had a fantastic first term in RF, making lots of friends and learning lots of new things, having fun every day.

We are looking forward to coming back to school on January 5th 2022.

Mrs Edwards and I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support this year and to wish you a Happy New Year.

Children in Need

Today we dressed up as rock stars and robots to raise money for Children in Need.  It also reminded us all to log on and practise adding and subtraction on Numbots - you can find your child's log in details in their reading record.

Thank you all for your donations 😊.

H e l l o   Y e l l o w !

Today, we did a little thing to make a BIG difference.  We wore yellow to school to show young people that they are not alone with their mental health.

Thank you for all of your donations.

Baker Day

Today we talked about what a baker does and the equipment they would need.  We measured our ingredients and followed the instructions to make biscuits.  They were delicious 👌!

O c c u p a t i o n s

As part of the topic - 'ourselves' - we have been talking about our families and people that we may know or may have come across within our community.  We have learnt about different occupations including the police, teachers, builders, vets and many more.

We have thought about the different equipment people would need to do their jobs and we have spent time 'working' as librarians, artists and bakers.  We have learnt lots of new words along the way.

Artist Day

Today we learnt about Jackson Pollock and we looked at some of his art work.  We shared our opinions about his paintings and then we used his techniques to create our own paintings.  Here we are dripping, pouring and splattering paint to create art similar to Jackson Pollock's.
