Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and Procedures

These policies apply to all staff, volunteers and governors in the school and is consistent with the procedures of Barking and Dagenham Safeguarding Children Board. Our policy and procedures also apply to extended school and off-site activities.

The school aims to ensure that:

• Appropriate action is taken in a timely manner to safeguard and promote children’s welfare

• All staff are aware of their statutory responsibilities with respect to safeguarding

• Staff are properly trained in recognising and reporting safeguarding issues
