Wednesday

Today our two groups did different activities.

Group 1 learnt some forest skills. We discovered how to start a fire and worked as a team to build a shelter - which wasn't easy.

Group 2 went canoeing. We developed some skills in controlling the canoe on the canal and on our trip encountered horses, ducks, swans, woodpeckers and chickens. We developed some really good skills by the end of the trip.

For dinner we had the biggest fish fingers we had ever seen and had apple crumble for pudding. In the evening we experienced a different type of orienteering. We were running about in the dark looking for special locations with only a map and a headlight to help us navigate across the grounds. It wasn't as easy as it looked, only two teams managed to find them all.
