Spring Term

Spring Term

Our curriculum topic for Spring Term is Our World.  We have been learning about our school environment and participating in events such as World Book Day and Pancake Day.

In Literacy, we have been studying the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and have enjoyed a variety of activities relating to the story.  We have used our senses to bring the story to life, by exploring porridge oats, and finding the characters and the key vocabulary within the story.  We are using colourful semantics to construct sentences about the story.

We have been using a variety of communication boards to support our communication skills and choice making, such as core vocabulary boards, feelings boards and preferred activity boards.

In Computing, we have been investigating laptops and the big tablet, participating in educational Maths and Phonics games.
