The Journey

2:18pm

After being stuck stationary on the M25 for about 4 hours, we eventually got moving and are now clear of the M25. We are currently driving along the M4 towards the services. The children have managed to stay in good spirits despite the extended journey.

We aren't expecting to arrive at Trewern now until nearer 5:30pm.

3:07pm

We had a quick stop at Membury Services and are now continuing our journey. Still looks like we should arrive at approximately 5:30pm.

5:30pm

We all arrived safely and have found our bedrooms.

6:30pm

We are now having vegetable soup, chips and homemade pizza for dinner. Our pudding will be apple crumble.

8:30pm

We have just come back from a local walk. The area is very different to Dagenham. There were no cars on the road, very few houses, no pavements, no streetlights and we could hear the river rushing by. It is a very quiet place.
