Our school day

Start: 8.40 am

Break: 11:15 -11:30 am

Lunch: 12:30- 1:30  pm

Finish: 3:15 pm

School start and ending

We start school promptly, it is important that you are ready for the day so you can improve your spellings and times tables during Basic Knowledge time in the morning.

We finish at 3.15pm. You will leave the school building in a single file and wait until your teacher has seen your guardian if you are being collected. If you are walking home alone, you will be released on the conditions that you can walk safely.

                                                                                  Remember: Stop. Look. Listen.

P.E.

We have P.E. on Mondays. You must come dressed in the correct P.E. kit.

P.E. is important as it is a fun lesson, designed to improve your health and wellbeing.

Homework and Reading

Homework is given out every Wednesday and should be returned by the following Wednesday. It includes both English and Maths activities, which are closely linked to the learning that has taken place in class during the week.

Completing homework regularly is important as it helps children practise key skills, build confidence, and support their progress in school.

Children are also expected to read at home every week and complete their Accelerated Reader (AR) quiz. We encourage parents and carers to read with their child whenever possible, as this helps develop reading fluency, comprehension, and a lifelong love of reading.

Thank you for your support in helping your child develop positive homework and reading habits.
