2. What we've been learning

As the children step into their final year of primary school, we are looking forward to an exciting, busy, and rewarding term ahead. Year 6 is a wonderful year where the children take on more responsibilities and grow as role models for the rest of the school.

The Autumn Curriculum

This term, our main topic is Amazing Humans

  • English: We will focus on narrative writing, reading comprehension, and improving spelling rules and grammar.
  • Maths: We will build fluency in place value, the four operations, and fractions, alongside regular arithmetic practice.
  • Science: Our first science unit is Amazing Humans
  • Foundation Subjects: History will also have a focus on Black History Month, with many exciting lessons and activities planned for the pupils

We look forward to sharing highlights of these learning experiences on our 'Highlights' tab.
