Autumn Term

Reading

This term, TLC class are reading two main stories:

 

Autumn 1- Arggghh Spider by Lydia Monks

Autumn 2- Umbrella Weather by Hilda Offen

 

We will bring the stories to life by making them sensory based, and participating in fun and engaging activities to related to the stories, for example spider web art and crafts.

 

Art

Our theme for Art this term is drawing.  Through using a variety of art tools and materials, we will be able to create line and space.  Examples of what we will are:

sand

foam

 

Photography
This term, TLC class will be learning how to take a photograph using a digital camera.  We will take photographs of ourselves, our peers and our preferred objects and toys in class.  We will identify and match our photographs and sequence the order of instructions of how to take a photograph using a digital camera. 

 

RE

This term, TLC class will be learning about festivals and celebrations of different religions such as; Diwali, Guru Nanak Jayanti and Christmas.  We will be listening to stories, matching photographs, labelling and exploring different artefacts relating to these religious festivals and celebrations.
