Spring Term

Reading

 

This term, TLC class are reading two key texts.

 

Spring 1- The Three Little Pigs

Spring 2- The Three Billy Goats Gruff

 

We will be participating in fun and engaging activities relating to these books, such as role playing the characters of 'the big bad wolf' and 'the mean old troll' using props and masks.  

 

We will be completing matching tasks, fine motor skill activities, sensory play and using colourful semantics to construct sentences about the texts.

 

Speech and Language

 

In TLC class, we focus on using communication strategies such as core vocabulary boards and the Curiosity Programme.  Core vocabulary boards support us to communicate and express our emotions and to make requests.

 

The Curiosity Programme is made up of four key areas:

 

1. Intensive Interaction

2. Signature Sounds/Sequences

3. Signature Songs

4. Creating Curiosity/Curiosity Box
