Roman Workshop day!

Year 4 took part in a Roman Workshop day where we learned about different aspects of life in Ancient Rome. We began with an introduction to what life was like for Romans and how people lived during this time.

We explored some amazing Roman artefacts. Through drama activities, the children acted out different Roman crimes and punishments, bringing history to life in a fun and engaging way.

We also discovered more about the powerful Roman army and how soldiers trained and fought.

Spring 1:

National Story Telling Week:

In year 4 we learned about the traditions of oral storytelling and used a story mountain to create a plan for a whole class story that our teacher then told to us.  We then worked in small groups to create our story mountains, practiced our oral stories and then told them to our classes. We had fun creating our oral stories.

Dagenham Parish Church:

Year 4 went on a visit to our local church as part of our RE curriculum.  Whilst there we explored Christian belief around the life of Jesus as part of any interactive exhibition.  We enjoyed learning a little bit about the Christian faith.
