The evil Pea froze some veggies and we saved them!

Reception has been learning about Supertato as part of their Superhero topic. Today they received a letter by the Evil Pea (Supertato's villain) letting them know he had frozen his friends. The Reception children got to work and thought about different ways of melting/breaking the ice to save the vegetables. They had the opportunity to attempt 5 different ways to release them: a teacher holding a hairdryer (hot air), hammers (from one of our building games), salt, blankets (made out of foil) and warm water. After the experiences we sat down and discussed which ones were the most effective. It has been a great learning opportunity.
