Wednesday

Today our groups swapped activities so Group 1 went caving and Group 2 went gorge walking and mountain walking.

Group 1 went to a different cave which involved a few different challenges such as the Superman challenge and the tube of toothpaste challenge. All children took on both challenges successfully and squeezed their way through the tight gaps. We even saw some bats inside the cave. On the walk back we had lots of fun sliding down hills.

Group 2 began the day in the gorge and braved the cold water. We navigated our way up the river and found some fun places to slide into the pools of water. Even though we often went under the water, it was still fun. After lunch we climbed up a mountain to see some great views. It was tiring but certainly worth it to see miles of Wales.

In the evening we helped make some Christmas stars to decorate the Christmas tree in the local church and we used an app to see the constellations in the night sky. It was amazing to be able to work out where Jupiter was in the sky and to see the different signs of the zodiac.
