Nursery

       Welcome to    Nursery!

Graduation!

Graduation day, today we say goodbye and good luck to our friends that are going to big school in September.

We’ve shared a lot of laughs,

We’ve had so much fun,

Its been a pleasure teaching you,

But now the year is done.

So have a ball this summer,

You’ve come so very far,

You’ll stay in our hearts forever,

Each one of you a star!

With love from Mrs Hamer, Ms Glock and Miss Johnson.

Summer

Here are some things to make and do over the summer holidays, we hope you have lots of fun!

Sun Safety

As the hot weather is upon us please ensure your child is safe in the sun. Please apply sun cream before nursery and bring a water bottle and hat each day.

Summer

Our topic this term is all about plants and animals. We are showing care and concern for living things. We will be planting our own vegetables and talking about healthy eating. We will be exploring our environment and looking for different plants and insects. In maths we will be counting and recognising numbers. In literacy we will be reading fiction and non-fiction books about plants, animals and mini beasts. Can you go on a bug hunt at home? Which bugs can you find? What is your favourite animal?

Spring

This spring term we have been exploring learning online, using google classroom. As readers, we have been learning to recognise our name and the names of our family and friends. As writers, we have been learning to write our name and letters of the alphabet. As speakers, we have been learning to talk about what we have heard or read and how to express our opinions and say whether we like a book or not. In gaining an understanding of the world, we have explored stories from different places and discussed how those places compare to where we live.

Autumn

Wow what a fantastic first term we've had in Nursery!

All the children have settled in well and have been busy exploring the learning areas.

We have read various texts about starting school and the children have shared their feelings and experiences.

Take a look at 'Our Learning Journey' page to find out more!

Here are some activities you can be doing with your families over the half-term break.

Enjoy and take care, Nursery Team J

Welcome to our setting

Hello Everyone,

There are lots of lovely areas for you to explore and we are about to embark on a wonderful learning journey full of fun and adventure!

To help with the settling in process we would like you to bring a family photo for us to display in our home corner. This will provide comfort and be a great tool for discussion around our topic 'Here we are!' We will be learning all about the world around us, ourselves and our families.

It would also be really helpful to bring a change of clothes that we can leave in the setting just in case.
