We are getting plenty of sleep now because we have been so energetic this week. 

Group 1 are going to go gorge walking today and Group 2 will be canoeing. 

Gorge Walking:

Before we did our gorge walking, we went to the old disused railway tunnel and worked collaboratively to walk to the middle which was pitch black. All we had to help us were some sticks to find the side of the tunnel. We had no torches at all!

Then we drove a short distance to a nearby river and followed a small tributary until it reached a larger river. The waterfall we saw was amazing and we got to slide along in the river, crawl behind a waterfall and float in a pool.

We kitted ourselves in the appropriate clothing as we knew it was going to be cold today. We went to the canal and learnt some skills to control our canoe on the canal. After that, we started a journey up the canal under some bridges. We had a nice lunch before heading back. The canoes were not the easiest thing to control and at times they felt very wobbly. One group wobbled it so much that they caused quite a splash when they capsized it. Luckily the canal is shallow enough they could just stand up, laugh and get back in and carry on.

When we returned to the centre, some of us took up the muddy puddle challenge...none of us managed to clear it without getting soggy feet.

In the evening we helped Trewern to create some Christmas decorations for a tree they have been given to put up in the local church. We used some pine cones that were collected locally and used some glitter paint to make them sparkle on the tree. 

We also bought some souvenirs for family and some mementos to remind us of our trip to Trewern.
